Wheel disks Firestone - Fireshina

Nowadays on the territory of the Russian Federation, you may find in sale both steel, and cast disks with a wide range of design solutions. Correctly picked up disks may strongly change any vehicle. There exist several parameters, according to which the selection of disks is performed.

ET is the disk offset (measured in mm). Here, you need to be sure that the disk suits the car, because for each car model the offset is calculated by the manufacturer so that to provide optimum stability and controllability of the car, and also the least loading of hub bearings.

R is the assembly diameter of a disk. It corresponds to the internal diameter of the tire. Traditionally, there are 13, 14, 15 and 16-inch disks, but there already occurred the tendency of usage of even bigger assembly diameters with a view of use of low cross section tires of interchangeable size, as their driving qualities are better, than of the tires of a high cross section, for a number of reasons. At that, the diameter of steel disks cannot be increased, unlike that of light alloys ones.

D is the diameter of the central aperture of the disk. Center finding rings are often sold together with disks.

PCD is the diameter of the centers of fixing apertures and width of the rim, which should be 25-30 % less than the width of the tire section.

Thus, when purchasing automobile disks, you should find out, what tire is suitable for your car as to the sizes, also find out the PCD of your auto, and then pick up the disk suitable for your car according to the PCD and the tire diameter, and also the width of the rim. At that, it is necessary to take into account the ET, which depends on the width of the tire section, and D (a disk with small D will simply not fit your pap). And only after that, you may pay attention to the design of a disk.
